Benromach Contrasts Peat Smoke 2014 Single Malt Whisky
This is the 2014 Peat Smoke release from Benromach, a small batch made with heavily peated barley.
It was matured for 8 years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled in 2023, a wonderful fruity and smoky Single Malt.
   Nose:   Very rich smoke with fragrant vanilla and light citrus zest. Hints of apples develop accompanied by white chocolate.
   Taste:   Smooth with toasted oak, honey and sweet ripe fruit. Butterscotch and marshmallow flavours lead to a lemon sherbet all alongside sweet smoke.
   Finish:  Mouth-coating sweetness and bonfire embers.
