Glenallachie 30 Year Old Batch 1 Single Malt Whisky
This is the GlenAllachie 30 Year Old Batch 1 Single Malt Scotch Whisky from GlenAllachie. It is the first batch of its oldest and most prestigious annual release.
For the inaugural release, Master Blender Billy Walker used a blend of 1989 and 1990 vintages. The whisky matured for 30 years in a combination of nine hand selected casks: Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry, and a small quantity of Chinquapin virgin oak. It was bottled in May 2021.
Only 2,000 bottles released.
   Nose:   Leather, ripe prunes, honey, caramel, perfect balance and harmony.
   Taste:   Warm, thick, sweet, dry, mahogany, wonderfully round and soft.
   Finish:   Lingers long, dark, fruity, sweet and dry.
