Highland Park Cask Strength Robust & Intense Release No 3
Part of the Cask Strength Robust & Intense Series, this is Release No. 3, bottled in 2022. It was created using an expertly balanced combination of three cask types: first-fill sherry seasoned American and European oak casks and a smaller quantity of refill casks for balance and depth. Using a higher proportion of Orkney peated malt, Highland Park’s Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, has achieved an intensely smoky character.
   Nose:   Aromas of smouldering peat and lightly charred oak, honey-glazed lemons and crushed aniseed.
   Taste:   Cloudy heather honey, ripe mango, whipped vanilla cream and just a hint of sweetly aromatic violet.
   Finish:   Lingering notes with pink grapefruit zest, rich sponge cake and a final echo of heathery peat smoke.
