Lagavulin 13 Year Old released for the Islay Festival, Fèis Ìle 2021. This bottling from Lagavulin was finished in port-seasoned American oak casks and bottled at cask strength in 2021. The whisky was personally selected by the Distillery Manager Pierrick Guillaume.
Only 6,000 bottles released.
Nose: Salty maritime oysters and kelp smoke with slight pear-orange fruitiness.
Taste: Hot, oily, sweet fresh campfire smoke, a lot of vegetal maritime peat and wet oak.
Finish: Long, slightly meaty, fresh vegetal peat and smoke.
